I've never written a short story before - novels, novellas... GAP... drabbles. But that 10k short in between? No idea how to write that.
Then I was struck by the Muse with the idea for the Christmas oneshot, and boy, it was so much fun!
And now I want to read every story-world's Christmas (or equivalent)! And Halloween, and Valentine, and whatever 5k to 10k story ideas you might have in between the bigger story events. So I wondered if we couldn't have a Short Story subforum, create themed threads (for example, Christmas) and everyone could post their story there? Only condition would be a) it meets the theme of the thread title, and b) it's between 1000 and 5000 words long, and c) it uses the story world and the characters of the author's current project.
What do you think?

Yeah! I just have to figure out what they do for Christmas (called Yule in Helmsguard)...

I like this idea. I know I could come up with some Dream World Chronicles shorts to go along with these themes.

I am SO THERE. Where should we place the thread? Exercises maybe?

I was thinking of putting my admin hat on and retooling the write-in subforum, since we're using the Discord now to make our appointments. That way, every story would have its own thread, and we could comment on each other's stories in the replies.
