I want to know what your dreams are as a writer, be they big, outlandish, tiny, or ridiculous.
I'll go first.
I dream of the day I have my own office with enough room for an actual desk lamp instead of the LED flashlight I currently have to use. Now please excuse me while I go change the batteries again.

I'd love to get published and have a fanbase and be a part of my books' fandom(s)... but that requires actually finishing more than one draft of anything. Maybe someday.

Fantasizing about being published instead of writing is probably the reason I'm not published yet ahahahaha
I want to get all my weirdo books published and develop a cult following and have people write fanfic and do fan art and come up with OUTRAGEOUS fan theories and then get murdered by Nay for killing her favorite character. XDD

So...I saw this thread title and first thought it was about sharing moments when our characters appeared in our dreams at night. I was all prepared to share a bunch of random stories about Adam and Lydia and...anyway, those are stories for another day.
My dream is to see The Dream World Chronicles be published traditionally. I would love to also have it made into a movie series because I believe the plot lends itself well to screen. If that would ever happy, I would want to help with production, play a role in casting, provide a cameo. The thing that I'm super looking forward to if I get published, though, is doing book tours and visiting school libraries and stuff. Some of my best memories of middle school were the times when our school librarian arranged for authors to visit. I remember that one author, Todd Strasser (middle grade fiction writer) held a workshop during the school day for interested young writers and I got to attend!

As silly as it is, I really just dream of a single person saying my book made it into their favorites list. Just knowing one of my stories had that big an impact would make the entire thing worth it!

I've also always dreamed about someone writing fanfic about my books. Like imagine someone loving your world so much they want to spend more time there. I also want to see all ships that I can't write into the series.

I also want to see all ships that I can't write into the series. NGL I have considered writing a Crystal/Grady one-shot but it feels SO PERSONAL TO WRITE FANFIC OF A FRIEND'S BOOK. Closest I ever came was the drabble thread, eons ago, when we all wrote one-shots for each other xDD It's terrifying!

My dream was to revive the Planet of the Apes tv-show fandom, have someone discover my fanfic series and decide to use them for that show reboot, buuut... that's never gonna happen LOL.
So I want to publish Rules of Enchantment and Stellar and get a big fanbase with all the good stuff (except that I'll never read the fanfiction for my characters, bc I just know ppl will unleash their weird kinks on my babies), and have people approach me with their copy of one of my books and ask me to sign them for them...
... also I was thinking the exact same thing as you, Jendora XDDD maybe we really need such a thread.
